Puppy Classes

It is important for puppies to socialise early in their life and puppy socialisation classes are an ideal opportunity for young puppies and their owners and families to meet likeminded people and puppies under controlled conditions, with the help and advice of experienced trainers.

The courses are very popular, must be booked well in advance, last four weeks and on the first evening innoculation certificates must be registered and a small fee is charged.

There are several trainers and helpers who provide advice about grooming, exercise, nutrition and health.

During the 4 weeks basic commands are introduced including: recall, sit, down, and heel work on lead, and positive behaviour is rewarded with treats.

Hints on basic training and tips on how to prevent and solve problem behaviour are also given.

The puppies are allowed to mix off lead under supervision of the lead trainer for a short time.
